HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE HEADS ON A CANON PRINTER?

Canon printers are convenient for small businesses and home requirements. It has the best printing and scanning technology. But sometimes, the print heads may clog. A clogged print head produces disappointing results such as smeared ink, faded pages, and improper imaging. To solve this problem, we need to clean the printer heads. Follow the instructions below to clean the heads on a canon printer.

CLEANING CANON PRINT HEADS AUTOMATICALLY USING THE COMPUTER:

Follow the upcoming steps to clean the print heads using the computer.

  • On your printer driver, go to the Maintenance tab.
  • Choose the Deep Cleaning option.
  • Now, select the ink group that you want to clean and click Execute> OK.

Note: Do not close the paper tray during the cleaning process.

  • A nozzle check dialog box will appear.
  • Now, click the Print check pattern to see whether the printing quality has improved or not.
  • If you see a clear color line, then it is confirmed that the print heads are cleaned.

Note: Cleaning the print head can consume a significant amount of ink, so perform the cleaning process only when necessary.

Clean The Heads On A Canon Printer

CLEANING CANON PRINT HEADS MANUALLY:

Removable print heads

Follow the below steps to clean the removable print heads manually.

  • Unplug and turn off the printer.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove all the cartridges and wipe them off with a cloth.
  • Wipe off the dust or debris inside using a clean cloth.
  • Close the ink cartridges access door.

Irremovable print heads

Follow the below steps if you are cleaning irremovable print heads.

  • Unplug and turn off the printer.
  • Open the printer lid or ink cartridge access door.
  • Take out all the ink cartridges and the print heads.
  • Put two to three drops of printer jack cleaning solution in each nozzle and let it be in rest for one hour.
  • Replace the cartridges and run the cleaning cycle.
  • Check whether the problem is solved. Otherwise, repeat the same process.
